Sarah Langland, Owner
After years of putting my heart and soul into every job I have had, I decided to put my energy to work for me by starting Serendipity Services, LLC. My career started in retail and progressed to project management. Each role has led me to new leadership opportunities and new skills that I use to continue my journey.
noun ser·en·dip·i·ty \ˌser-ən-ˈdi-pə-tē\
: luck that takes the form of finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for
The name of my company was in the works from the time I was a child, without me even knowing! One of my favorite books was Serendipity, by Stephen Cosgroves. "Knowing who you really are will bring you happiness." I like to think that I have grown up to be the woman my mother raised. To have integrity, take pride in my work, and treat others with respect. My mother also taught me to have self-awareness, to know who I am. And by being open to knowing and learning who I am, I have been happy.
Serendipity made its way back into my life years later when I had a tremendous and fascinating conversation with my oldest brother about it; the definition, movies and books about serendipity. Time has eroded the specifics of the conversation. However, the feeling remains.
Then even more years later, serendipitously I find opportunities to take me on journeys to grow and learn. Often, I have crossed someone’s path at just the right time to help them. One might describe it as a serendipitous meeting.
